BGAIW July Outing

The BGAIW July outing will be held on July 19thfrom 6:30-8:30 pm at the Mad Potter in the Landsdowne Shoppes off Tates Creek Rd.

It is DIVA NIGHT so the Mad Potter will have Tiaras and Boas so that you may let your inner DIVA out for a bit.  Please bring an appetizer/snack food/finger food of some sort to share with everyone.  Also, you can BYOB if you would like to partake in a frosty beverage.  I will bring some two liters of soda for those that don’t BYOB and will also bring plates and napkins, in addition to an appetizer.

The back room at the Mad Potter has been reserved for us so that is where we will place our appetizers and also where we will sit and paint and eat, drink and be merry.  For questions please contact Cheryl Hoffer at 859-230-1371

Happy Birthday Bluegrass Association of Insurance Women

It is our birthday month and time for a celebration!  To help us celebrate Lydia Heathman, KY State Council Director, will be speaking at our meeting.  Lydia will bring us to date on what is going on across the state and any announcements from National.

What is a birthday without gifts?  We do ours a little different, instead of receiving, we give.  We have started the tradition of collecting toys to donate to Toys for Tots.  So please bring a new, unwrapped toy to the meeting and we will donate them to the Fire Department to be given to a needy child at Christmas.

The Region IV Conference will begin March 17 and we are going to be very busy until then.  Diana and Janie will be going over details at our February meeting, so yet another reason to be sure to attend.  Even if you are not officially attending the Conference, there is plenty work for everyone. So please come and find out how you can contribute.  Everyone is needed.

May will be here before we know it and Candice is putting together her Associates’ Night Committee.  If you would like to be involved and learn more about our association, this is the perfect opportunity.  Just let Candice know and she will gladly put you to work.

Hope to see everyone February 1.

Together we can,,,,,

December President’s letter

Tis the Holidays!  Seems like yesterday we were laughing and having fun at Comedy off Broadway, where has the year gone?  We have had a busy year so far and the rest of the year promises to be even busier.

March will be here before we know it and we will be hosting the Region IV Conference.  I hope everyone is ready to put their best foot forward or maybe up in the air as our theme is Kickin’ up Your Heels in the Bluegrass.  This is a great opportunity for us to shine as an association, so please get involved.  Diana and Janie have worked very hard in preparing for this special event and we need to give them our full support.  Remember our theme for this year:  together we can and we need everyone’s participation.

Peggy has been very busy preparing for the Christmas Auction which will be December 7 at the Marriott Griffin Gate.  This is a very important event for our association and I hope that everyone is planning on attending and bringing a guest.   If you would like to donate an item for the silent auction, please let Peggy know.   Any item will be greatly appreciated.

Please don’t forget your items for the Bluegrass Domestic Violence Program.  In addition to the normal travel toiletries and jogging suites, they are also in need of towels, alarm clocks, plastic drinking glasses, laundry baskets, pots and pans, silverware, or any item that we use in our daily lives.  When the residents arrive at the center they typically only have the clothing that is on their back, so any items that we can donate will be greatly appreciated.  Let Tonya know if you have items that need to be picked up.

I wish all of you and your families a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  Please be safe.

See you December 7th.  Be sure to bring your guest and your checkbook.
